Who: Eligible students of "Tone Down for What" Mixed Choir
What: Show Choir Contest/Festival
When: Friday, March 27 (see above for schedule). Early release for students at 12:40 pm. Rehearsal in Choir Room at 1:00 pm. Send-off at 3:00 pm! We depart for Rouse High School at 4:00 pm. Benold begins warm up at 6:30 pm and performs on stage at 7:00 pm. We will stay for the other middle school performances, a special performance by Rouse High School and awards. Students are encouraged to stay for the entire event. All students should be picked up by 9:30 pm. The event will be over around 9:00 pm.
Why: Because aca-awesome reasons. We are living that aca-life.
What to Bring: Bring a water bottle, cash for snacks or dinner, & clothes for the day if you don't want to wear your performance attire. Bring your awesomeness.
Cost: Registration has been covered for all Benold performers. Transportation will be provided to the event, but students will need to be picked up at Rouse High School after the event. Carpooling is encouraged. Event is open to the public and all-day registration is $10. You can find more information at www.capitalcityshowcase.net.
Transportation: We will depart Benold for Rouse High School at 4:00 pm. Students will need to be picked up from Rouse High School by 9:30 pm.
Food: We will provide pizza for students after school before we leave. Students are encouraged to bring cash also as they will have food trucks and concessions in the cafeteria.
High School Contest: The high school contest is Saturday, March 28. Georgetown High School will have a competing group! Students and parents are welcome to attend this day as well, but it is not a requirement. See schedule for more information. Tickets are $10 to the public.
Dress: Attire to be determined.
Chaperones: Parents are welcome to come to the contest to watch us perform! If you’d like to travel with us, you can be a chaperone. Chaperones must pass a background check with the district. Contact your student's director if you are interested in being a chaperone!
